Anne claims to be from everywhere and nowhere: she doesn't remember where she was born, her family isn't from where she grew up, she called New York City home for 19 years but now is a wash ashore in Provincetown, MA. Which might explain why her music is a world unto itself. Many inspirations flow through Anne, from classic rock and classical piano to 80s alt pop and 90s grunge to her years of Indian chanting. Through these musical loves, she has created an eclectic catalogue that is uniquely her own.
Anne has released two full length albums of original material, an EP and numerous singles.
Her most recent album, Love Never Dies (2015), was co-produced by Jon Evans (Tori Amos, Sarah MacLachlan).
LND is an eclectic indie rock soundscape that ranges from radio-ready tracks like “We Are Here," “No Words," and “I’ve Known Your Name Before” to a three-act chant-inspired dreamworld, a spoken word rocker and a lullaby ending. It was called a "stunner" and peaked at #19 on the Relix Magazine radio chart.
Pennsylvania (2010), produced by Jack Petruzzelli (Patti Smith, Rufus Wainwright, Joan Osborne), is an album of restlessness and desire, a direct hit to the hearts and minds of its listeners. Its indie folk rock vibe will wake you up and chill you out at the same time.
Jump Go, Anne's single/video released in 2020, harnesses a plugged-in sound and tight compositional style to bring to life that moment of hesitation just before we take a leap, make a change or leave the past behind. Anne's work has always embraced angst, but she says Jump Go, "might be my most fun angst ridden experience yet. You can feel the trepidation before jumping off the cliff and the freedom of flying at the same time."
Anne busked for five summers on Commercial Street in Provincetown for thousands of summer tourists, aka The Provincetown International Commercial Street Tour. She has played hundreds of gigs at clubs large and small in the Northeast, along the Eastern Seaboard and beyond. She has produced, directed and starred in four music videos.
Anne gave a TED talk, Get Lost (to find your creativity) at the First Annual TEDx Provincetown in 2018.
Scorpio Blonde, Anne's one woman show, was commissioned by and premiered at The Afterglow Festival in 2018. It tears through Anne's original songbook and messy transcendent life experiences with abandon.
In all her work, Anne investigates the infinite potential for human transformation, the moment when something that wasn't possible before is made manifest. Come inside her world and see what happens.
